Richmond, VA – Performance Pickleball is thrilled to announced the creation of an anchor agreement that will make Atlantic Union Bank the “Official Banking Partner of Performance Pickleball.” The partnership includes title sponsorship of the newly-minted Atlantic Union Bank Performance Series, which will encompass all tournaments coordinated by Performance Pickleball RVA, Performance Pickleball ROA and Performance Productions. Additionally, Atlantic Union Bank will title sponsor the season-ending Atlantic Union Bank Open, which will be contested at PPBRVA in November and serve as the series championship.
“We had a vision for what an all-encompassing series of events could look like,” said Performance Pickleball COO Jon Laaser. “We also had a long-standing relationship with Atlantic Union Bank, who have helped us turn that vision into a reality.” “We are grateful to welcome an amazing partner and industry leader, and for what this partnership will mean for pickleball players throughout Virginia and beyond.”
As part of the series, players will accumulate points based upon participation in events, match victories and medals won. The series will consist of 10 events beginning in 2025, four of which will be considered “majors,” in which players will accrue double points. Overall series champions will be crowned at the conclusion of the season. The four major tournaments will be The Ladybug Classic presented by Coca-Cola Consolidated, The Body Armor 804 Open, The PickleBrawl in the Blue Ridge and The Atlantic Union Bank Open. A truncated version of the annual schedule will be contested in 2024 beginning with the Body Armor 804 Open. Series details, schedule and scoring system will be available in the coming weeks.

As the “Official Banking Partner” of Performance Pickleball, Atlantic Union Bank will hold venue sponsorship at both PPBRVA and PPBROA and boast a major presence in both facilities.

Registration is now open for The USA Pickleball Mid-Atlantic Select Series event in July and memberships are currently available at PPBRVA. Information on both can be found at PPBRVA.com.
